About the Role
Zero Touch Manufacturing, part of Sandvik, is seeking an
Entry-Level Electrical Engineer
to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will design, develop, and implement custom electrical systems for advanced precision metrology and automation equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career engineer to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, high-tech manufacturing environment.
You will work cross-functionally with mechanical, software, and project teams to deliver high-performance, compliant electrical designs that support assembly, integration, and the full product lifecycle.
What You’ll Do
Design electrical schematics using
AutoCAD Electrical
for precision metrology and automation equipment
Specify, select, and integrate electrical components such as motors, controllers, servos, robots, power supplies, sensors, cameras, and lasers
Design and lay out electrical panels in both
2D and 3D
Ensure designs comply with
UL, NFPA, CE, and UL508A
standards
Collaborate closely with mechanical and software engineers throughout the project lifecycle
Create Bills of Material (BOMs) and technical documentation
Support system assembly, debugging, power-up, and integration activities (factory or customer site)
Participate in system startup, troubleshooting, and systems engineering debug tasks
Develop and maintain
CE technical files
and perform
safety risk assessments
Contribute to reusable, standardized electrical designs across projects

Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
or a closely related field
Entry-level or new graduate encouraged to apply
Internship or co-op experience in automation or manufacturing preferred
Hands-on experience creating schematics in
AutoCAD Electrical
Familiarity with electrical safety requirements and risk assessments
Exposure to product lifecycle management (PLM) tools and ECO/ECR processes is a plus
Familiarity with
NFPA 79 ,
CE , or tools such as
Safexpert
is a plus
Additional Information
This position is based in an
ITAR-protected facility . Candidates must be eligible to access ITAR-controlled information.
Role may require on-site support during system integration and startup phases.
