Role: Senior Cloud Engineer (GCP)

Location: Phoenix - AZ USA

6+ years of hands‑on engineering experience in cloud‑native platforms and modern application architectures.

Core Technical Skills

Generative AI:

Strong hands‑on experience building and deploying GenAI solutions on Google Cloud Platform (Vertex AI)

Cloud Platforms:

Expertise in GCP, with deep understanding of cloud‑native services

Cloud Networking & Security:

Strong foundation in cloud networking, third‑party connectivity, IAM, and network security best practices

Infrastructure as Code (IaC):

Hands‑on experience using Terraform or equivalent IaC tools for provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure

CI/CD & Automation:

Good experience in designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions (or similar tools)

DevOps & Platform Engineering:

Experience supporting scalable, secure, and production‑grade cloud platforms

Mandatory Skills

Google Cloud Platform – 6 years

CI/CD Pipelines or GitHub Actions – 3 years

GenAI solutions / Vertex AI – 3 years

Terraform – 2 years

Salary and Other Compensation
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
