MEP / Unit Superintendent - Miami Residential Mid-Rise
HireVenture, Miami, FL, United States
Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced MEP / Unit Superintendent for a residential mid‑rise project in Miami. This role is responsible for bridging technical MEP coordination with unit delivery, ensuring systems installation transitions smoothly into high‑quality, on‑time turnover.
The ideal candidate is highly detail‑oriented, field‑driven, and capable of managing complex coordination between multiple trades while maintaining strict control over schedules, quality standards, and unit readiness.
What You Will Do:
Lead MEP coordination and unit readiness sequencing from rough‑in through trim‑out, startup, punch, and final turnover
Coordinate all major building systems including plumbing, mechanical, electrical, fire protection, low‑voltage, and life safety alongside interior and finish work
Oversee above‑ceiling completion, equipment room readiness, inspections, testing & balancing, commissioning, startup, and turnover documentation
Track unit progress closely and proactively remove constraints to maintain turnover milestones
Work directly with project management, consultants, and trade foremen to resolve clashes, field changes, and incomplete predecessor work in real time
What We’re Looking For:
Strong field experience on vertical construction projects with hands‑on responsibility for MEP coordination and unit turnover
Solid understanding of MEP systems, startup requirements, testing procedures, and owner‑ready delivery standards
Ability to read plans, manage punch lists aggressively, and hold subcontractors accountable to schedule and quality expectations
Experience in multifamily, condo, mixed‑use, hospitality, or similar finish‑sensitive vertical projects strongly preferred
Florida experience preferred; bilingual English/Spanish is a strong plus
Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and structured field documentation/issue tracking systems
This role is ideal for a field professional who thrives in detail‑heavy environments and understands that successful unit delivery is critical to project success in residential construction.
