Summary
We are looking for an experienced professional to join our Supervisor of Shipbuilding Newport News (SUPSHIPNN) Refueling Complex Overhaul (RCOH) Work Integration team. The role will support the SUPSHIPNN Work Integration Team by coordinating all aspects of AIT/CCT work control, tracking, and documentation, while ensuring compliance with work requirements, certifications, and project objectives. The position serves as a key liaison among ship’s force, contractors, and internal teams to resolve integration issues, monitor performance, and support project planning and execution.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain AIT/CCT tracker spreadsheet for all incoming teams and related administrative requirements.

Identify contractor work and produce CCT Memorandums of Agreement, Lead Maintenance Activity interface guidelines, and applicable contract language.

Monitor progress of all maintenance providers using production agendas and other tools; provide metrics to the Work Integration Manager.

Coordinate and participate in Project Orientation Briefs for non-shipyard work maintenance providers.

Support submission, verification and tracking of all AIT/CCT Service Order Requests.

Establish working relationships between ship's force, various CCT government OSRs and NNS to ensure conformity to work controls and final certification.

Collaborate with Work Integration Team and Chief Test Engineer’s Team to develop strategy for work control and test certification.

Represent the project in conferences, meetings, and contacts dealing with non-shipyard work; make decisions, recommendations, and official commitments involving work integration matters.

What You Must Have

3 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field; 1 year with a Master’s degree; or a high school diploma or equivalent with 7 years of relevant experience.

Must have U.S. Navy experience as a Work Center Supervisor or higher, or equivalent senior civilian experience in Navy ship maintenance.

Experience with aircraft carrier operational or maintenance, including supervisory role during extended maintenance availability at a public or private shipyard, especially in work integration processes.

Strong writing and public‑speaking skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Current, valid DoD Secret Security Clearance or higher.

A self‑starting, result‑orientated professional capable of supporting the SUPSHIPNN Work Integration Team.

Bonus Points For

Knowledge and expertise in improvement/transformation initiatives such as Lean–Six Sigma, process improvement programs, and knowledge sharing.

Physical Requirements
May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Must be capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
