OXARC, a regional leader in industrial gas and welding supply distribution, is seeking a Gas Lab Technician to join their team in the Pasco, WA area.
If you have experience as a lab technician with knowledge of analytical chemistry methods and theories, OXARC wants to hear from you! Bachelor’s in chemistry and/or Industrial/Specialty Gas experience preferred but not required.
This is a critical role responsible for the testing and analyzing of product, production of product, and responding to customer inquiries and complaints.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Chemistry preferred.
Industrial/Specialty Gas experience preferred.
Knowledge of analytical chemistry methods and theories.
Advanced technical training.
Ability to work independently, establish priorities and accomplish objectives with minimal supervision.
Occasionally be required to lift up to 40 pounds.
Effective oral and written skills.
Must be organized and have good time management skills.
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet use.
Must pass drug screen and background check.
Essential duties/responsibilities

Perform routine analytical procedures on pure and mixed gases.
Run mixture calculations for routine mixtures.
Data entry. Maintain data both hard copies and electronically.
Troubleshoot instrumentation and methods.
Ensure that bulk tanks are sampled after receiving deliveries.
Ensure production areas are neat and clean.
Operate the lab in the absence of the Lab Lead when needed.
Accurate and timely completion of paperwork per FDA requirements.
Commit to high performance through outstanding attendance and overall dependable work habits.
Adhere to company policies and procedures as well as local, state, and federal regulations and laws.
