Job Summary
Provides leadership and expertise for the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the Practical Nursing Program at LCCTC.
Responsibilities
Continuously formulates, implements, and evaluates the school's philosophy and objectives.
Participates in classroom, laboratory, and clinical teaching activities, as assigned.
Provides classroom, lab, and clinical instruction.
Assesses, develops, and implements learning programs and associated materials, preparing students for entry‑level employment as practical nurses.
Prepares, presents, and evaluates course content.
Supervises, mentors, and evaluates students in the classroom, lab, and clinical area.
Designs, conducts, and implements activities for use in the simulation lab.
Monitors and maintains simulation models and requests repairs, equipment, and supplies as necessary.
Schedules and coordinates the use of the simulation lab for activities and training.
Participates in counseling and guidance services.
Engages in committee assignments.
Demonstrates evidence of professional growth by participating in educational activities such as seminars, workshops, professional meetings, faculty and self‑development programs, or graduate study.
Adheres to school and faculty personnel policies.
Assists in the preparation of special curriculum activities as assigned (ex. graduation and recruitment events).
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Graduation from an approved school of professional nursing.
Current RN license (must be a Pennsylvania license or compact state).
Education & Experience
2-4 years of nursing education experience, preferred.
3-5 years of clinical nursing experience, preferred.
Baccalaureate degree (preferably in nursing), preferred. If no Baccalaureate degree, must give evidence of continuing academic preparation.
Experience in Medical‑Surgical Nursing, preferred.
Schedule
235 Days per year – Daytime typically 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Salary
Bachelor's Degree: $80,759 - 84,622; Master's Degree: $92,322 - 96,425. Additional compensation for credits beyond bachelor's and master's degrees, based on years of experience.
