Summary:
Munson Healthcare is seeking a Pediatrician or Family Medicine Physician to provide nursery call coverage at our locations in Gaylord, Grayling, Charlevoix, and Cadillac. This role offers flexibility for those seeking per diem or ancillary work. The physician will be reimbursed for food, travel, and lodging expenses incurred during a call shift.
Position Duties / Highlights
Minimum of 3 24‑hour shifts per month
Mileage reimbursement
Lodging reimbursement upon approval if outside “home” location
Providers must be within 30 miles of hospital
Providers are credentialed at all possible sites and must go where assigned
Standard Qualifications
Provider routine newborn care
National Resident Matching Program (NRP)
STABLE recommended
Establish access (UVC preferred, IV acceptable, IO emergent)
Ventilate (NIPPV, neopuff or bag) – mandatory
Endotracheal intubation skillset (preferred)
Education / Training
MD or DO
Successful completion of an approved U.S. Residency training program accredited by the ACGME, American Osteopathic Association or equivalent.
Certification, Licensure, Registration
Board eligible/certified for pediatric or family medicine practice in the State of Michigan
