The Residential Program Director oversees the day-to-day operation of a residential home designed to support individuals living with Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities and complex medical needs. The Residential Program Director works towards the organizational mission and goals by providing quality living supports to individuals as well as supervision and leadership to program staff. The Residential Program Director will work to ensure compliance with both Northeast Arc and DDS funding requirements.
Responsibilities
Provides responsive, effective residential supports and leads staff in creating an atmosphere that places individual respect, dignity, and empowerment
Work as part of the Residential Team, including assisting peers as needed, providing Residential Office Coverage and having a working knowledge of all Residential Homes and Systems.
Utilize a Positive Behavior Support (PBS) approach when working with staff and individuals, including promoting the agency objectives related to personal growth, community involvement and decision making.
Ensure Residential Team Members are aware of daily schedule and staffing coverage.
Complete required documentation completely and accurately
Participate in management and other meetings as deemed necessary. Participate in Agency trainings and Committees as assigned.
Ensure House Books and Systems are in compliance with Residential Standards
Maintain and follow a current safety plan, including training staff. Ensure minimum safety ratios are maintained.
Hire, organize and coordinate staff to meet the goals of the agency. Facilitate staff meetings and provide on-site supervision and support to staff. Be approachable and responsive to staff.
Complete billing information, payroll, other documentation accurately and in a timely fashion.
Have a working knowledge of computer systems, including Microsoft Office and UKG.
Requirements
HS Diploma/GED required, Bachelors Degree preferred.
Minimum of three (3) years prior experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities or within human services.
A desire to assist people in achieving their dreams and goals.
Maintain certifications as required in Northeast Arc Policy and Procedures, including: First Aid, CPR, MAPs, Vehicle Safety, Human Rights and Fire Safety.
Maintain a valid Massachusetts driver’s license.
Must be able to work at a desk/computer in an office environment and also be physically able to provide direct support to individuals in their homes
