Position Description
The University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville is recruiting one ESIR and one NonESIR Interventional Radiology Independent resident for the 2026–2027 academic year. Our ACGME accredited program provides comprehensive, high-volume training at a major academic medical center and Level I trauma center serving Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia.
Residents gain extensive experience across the full spectrum of interventional radiology, including:
Vascular and nonvascular interventions
Interventional oncology
Trauma and emergency IR
Hepatobiliary and portal venous procedures
Advanced image-guided interventions
Longitudinal clinic and continuity of care
Multidisciplinary conferences and tumor boards
Teaching responsibilities for medical students and DR residents
Scholarly activity, including QI and research
Program Highlights
Robust procedural volume with diverse pathology
State-of-the-art IR suites and imaging technology
Strong faculty mentorship and academic support

Eligibility Requirements
Board certified or board eligible in Diagnostic Radiology
Completion of an ACGME accredited DR residency
ESIR applicants must have completed an ACGME approved ESIR pathway
Eligible for Florida medical licensure
Compensation
Annual stipend: $81,000
