Registered Respiratory Therapist – Main Hospital
Charleston, SC | Full-time (36 hours/week)
Sign‑on bonus: $15,000 for experienced therapist and $10,000 for new grads; Relocation assistance: $3,200.

Responsibilities
Assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with pulmonary disorders.
Collect and analyze sputum, blood, and breath specimens for oxygen, carbon dioxide, and other gases.
Measure lung capacity to determine impairments.
Administer physician‑prescribed treatments for patients with breathing abnormalities.
Take primary responsibility for respiratory care treatments, including oversight of respiratory therapy technicians.
Provide life‑changing respiratory care and diagnostic testing.
Manage ventilators and deliver physician‑prescribed therapies.
Perform advanced pulmonary function measures and sample collection.
Supervise respiratory therapy technicians and partner with world‑class medical teams.
Qualifications & Requirements
Graduate of a CoARC‑accredited respiratory therapy program.
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
Licensed by the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing & Regulation Board of Medical Examiners.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or equivalent).
Physical ability to lift, bend, walk, and perform required patient care activities.
Physical requirements: ability to stand, sit, walk, climb stairs, work indoors and outdoors in temperature extremes, work from elevated areas, work in confined spaces, kneel, bend at the waist, twist at the waist, squat, perform pinching operations, gross motor activities, firm grasping, fine manipulation, reach overhead, repetitive motions, use legs and hands, lift and carry up to 50 lbs unassisted, maintain vision and hearing acuity, work rotating shifts, overtime, latex‑safe environment, etc.
