Salary -
£12.71ph to £13.30ph. Salary will depend on experience and qualifications
Hours -
To be discussed; ideally looking for 8 hours a day. 24 - 40 hours per week
Qualification -
Ideally hold a level 2 or above in Childcare; can look at unqualified with experience.
Hi, I’m Sophie, the Nursery Manager at Newark Nursery. With 10 years of experience in early years education, I began my career as an apprentice and have proudly managed our nursery for the past 6 years. I lead a dedicated team who ensure every child has the opportunity to grow, develop, and thrive in our care.
Our nursery is a home-from-home environment with warm, welcoming spaces and a large outdoor garden designed for play and discovery.
We provide spacious, thoughtfully designed environments where children learn, play, and flourish every day.

To give children healthy foundations in fantastic settings, helping them build the confidence and resilience that will set them up for success later in life.
How you’ll spend your time here
You’ll be helping to provide cover for the children as and when needed. This could be for periods of holiday, sickness, or vacancy gaps.
Sometimes you’ll support for a full day, or it may just be a morning or afternoon session.
You’ll likely start most days with a fully formulated plan, but adjustments are common as circumstances change in childcare.
Creativity is key: teaching young children through hands-on arts and crafts, storytelling, exercise, and educational games. You will work within EYFS standards while bringing your creative flair.
We’d love to talk to you if you have the following
Level 2 or above qualification in early years
or equivalent; we can consider unqualified Educators who demonstrate the necessary qualities, values and enthusiasm.
Experience as an Early Years Educator / Nursery Nurse / Practitioner or with children under 5 is advantageous
Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS is desirable

What you’ll need
A full and relevant Level 2 or above qualification within early years. (Unqualified candidates may be considered if they demonstrate the necessary qualities, values and enthusiasm.)
Experience as an Early Years Educator or having worked with children under the age of 5 is advantageous
Knowledge of the EYFS is desirable
