Overview
Seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Peridot, AZ. This role requires an Arizona‑licensed Pharmacy Technician with previous hospital experience and familiarity with Omnicell systems. The ideal candidate will be flexible with shift schedules.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, compound, and package medications under pharmacist supervision
Accurately review and process prescriptions and refill requests
Select appropriate medications, ensuring correct drug, strength, and formulation
Perform pharmaceutical calculations and maintain inventory accuracy
Operate pharmacy equipment and utilize Omnicell systems for medication dispensing
Deliver medications, including controlled substances, per policy
Manage stock in automated dispensing cabinets and remove expired medications
Conduct regular med room inspections and maintain medication security
Communicate with healthcare staff within the technician's scope of practice
Assist in training, QA programs, and continuous learning opportunities
Support general pharmacy operations and perform additional tasks as needed
Qualifications
Must have an active Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT) in Arizona
Previous experience working in a hospital setting is preferred
Experience with Omnicell systems is preferred, but not required
