What You’ll Do
As a Home Health Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you will:

Provide services for treating impairments, functional limitations, disabilities, or changes in physical function and health status under the direction and supervision of the treating occupational therapist

Participate in the development and evaluation of the plan of care in partnership with the patient, representative (if any), and caregiver(s).

Assist the treating occupational therapist in documenting a patient’s progress and response to treatment.

Teach task‑oriented therapeutic activities designed to restore physical function, as well as sensory‑integrative function.

Teach compensatory techniques to improve the level of independence in the activities of daily living (ADLs).

What You’ll Need

Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in South Carolina.

Graduate of an accredited Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) program

Successfully completed the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc. (NBCOT) certification examination for occupational therapists
