Teacher Resource Specialist for Instruction and Intervention (9-12 Math Focus)
Employment:
Full-Time, 10-Month Contract (WWPEA)
Salary:
$67,000 to $107,802 per year

Position Summary:
Provides targeted support to students in the form of interventions and supports professional development for teachers through model lessons, workshops, team-teaching, informal observation, and other instructional support.
Qualifications
Valid New Jersey secondary 9-12 instructional certificate with extensive knowledge of mathematics instruction.
Successful teaching experience at the secondary level or equivalent experience required.
Experience collaborating with colleagues on professional learning and instructional improvement initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Differentiate instruction to meet individual learning needs of students and teachers.
Ensure appropriate programming for identified students.
Collect data and monitor progress of student growth.
Train staff in the administration and interpretation of assessment data to determine adequate progress; support determination of those needing supplemental or intensive intervention.
Become familiar with the administration and interpretation of in-depth diagnostic measures or additional assessments commonly used in school.
Actively support consistent implementation of district curriculum and math instruction in all curricular areas.
Provide professional development workshops as appropriate.
Meet with teachers one-to-one to consult on curriculum, instruction, assessment, materials, and students receiving intervention.
Informally mentor new staff and acclimate them to the district curriculum.
Team-teach with instructional staff in their classrooms.
Informally observe teachers during instruction and provide strategies for student growth.
Provide teachers and administrators with information about professional development opportunities.
Present teachers and administrators with information regarding new instructional materials.
Assist in arranging professional development opportunities for teachers and administrators.
Actively participate in state and national professional organizations to stay abreast of federal and state initiatives, programs, and standards.
Coordinate with other Teacher Resource Specialists and interventionists.
Technology Skills
Proficiency in computer applications pertinent to the position, including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Google Suite, and Genesis Employee Portal.
Physical and Work Environment
Requires travel between schools and visits to multiple classrooms. Work may be conducted in multiple locations and environments. Reasonable accommodations will be made for individuals with disabilities.
Terms of Employment
10-Month Contract. Salary and benefits as determined by the Board of Education and applicable collective negotiations agreement.
