Prepared Foods Manager
The Prepared Foods Manager is responsible for the overall operation of a deli department within Green’s Natural Foods. The Prepared Foods Manager oversees staff, manages inventory, ensures food quality and safety, promotes sales, and provides excellent customer service by actively supervising the preparation and presentation of prepared Foods items while adhering to all food safety regulations.
Responsibilities
Working knowledge of food service and nutritional guidelines and best practices.
Keep refrigerated coolers, store shelves and other displays fully stocked and faced at all times according to tag allocation, product movement or departmental standards.
Rotate merchandise in accordance with departmental policy and product code dates.
Follow approved procedures for receiving product, price marking and restocking to ensure quality protection, accuracy and product rotation.
Ensures that staff work safely and comply with local, state, and government weights, measures and labeling laws.
Ensures and/or maintains the safety and cleanliness of all food preparation, service, and work areas, tools, and facilities.
Keep manager or other designated personnel aware of low inventory conditions or spoilage problems.
Cooperates with other departments in special promotions to help drive sales
Required Skills
Leadership: Ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
Food Knowledge: Deep understanding of different deli products, preparation techniques, and food safety practices.
Customer Service Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact positively with customers.
Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Basic Math Skills: Accurate calculations for inventory management and sales reporting.
Qualifications
Prior experience in a deli or foodservice management role
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize
Knowledge of food safety regulations and guidelines
Current ServeSafe Certification
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Ability to work in a refrigerated environment
