We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Agricultural Science Teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate will have a strong and broad background in agricultural education and a commitment to inspiring students through hands‑on learning experiences. The teacher will be responsible for delivering an engaging curriculum in agricultural science, preparing students for careers in agriculture, and supporting the school’s FFA chapter.

Salary Structure (Based on 2025-2026 Compensation Plan and includes all stipends):

0 Years = $73,500

15 Years = $92,863

Add $1,200 for Master’s Stipend

Add $5,000 for National Board Teacher Certification

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university

Valid Texas Teaching Certificate in Vocational Agriculture

Special Knowledge / Skills

Develop and implement lesson plans that align with Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for Agricultural Science.

Provide students with hands‑on learning opportunities, including lab activities, greenhouse projects, and livestock care.

Supervise and mentor students in FFA activities, including competitions (LDE, CDE, & SDE), leadership roles, and supervised agricultural experiences (SAEs).

Maintain and oversee agricultural facilities, such as shops, labs, greenhouses, and school farms.

Assist students with FFA record books, scholarship applications, and agriculture opportunities.

Ensure a safe learning environment by following best practices in laboratory, shop, and field safety.

Stay up-to-date with trends in agricultural education and integrate new techniques into the curriculum.
