Job Summary: Radiology Technologist at Henderson Health Care Services
Henderson Health Care Services (HHCS) is seeking a part-time, skilled Radiology Technologist to join the team at the Henderson Community Hospital. The role involves performing imaging examinations (X-ray, CT, DEXA, mammography) and ensuring high-quality digital images. The position includes a rotating call schedule and duties like equipment maintenance, patient care, scheduling exams, and managing radiology records.
Key Responsibilities
Perform imaging exams, including X-rays (fixed and portable), CT scans, mammograms, and DEXA scans.
Maintain patient rights, confidentiality, and safety.
Ensure the safe operation and maintenance of radiology equipment.
Perform departmental QA and ensure high-quality digital imaging.
Order and manage department supplies.
Schedule exams and notify patients of appointments.
Assist with image storage, routing, and communication with radiologists.
Handle pre-authorization for insurance, manage charge codes, and perform necessary paperwork.
Respond to emergency x-ray calls after hours, including weekends and holidays.
Educate patients about exam protocols and ensure patient comfort and safety.
Comply with state and federal regulations and attend required meetings.
Qualifications
Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program.
ARRT certification and Nebraska State License required.
BLS certification is recommended.
Proficient in radiation safety and patient care.
