There is never a dull moment with us.**Group/Division**The ICOS Vision Systems division focuses on the backend of the line semiconductor industry providing fully automated tools to inspect and sort, finished integrated circuit packages. For more than 15 years, ICOS has been a market leader with tray-to-tray and tray-to-tape inspection and sorting tools found in the production facilities of all major chipmakers in the world. Our market-leading technology and superior customer service requires strong talent in optics, machine control, algorithms and applications within our engineering teams. The ICOS division headquarters are in Leuven, Belgium with additional engineering and manufacturing operations in Singapore and Shenzhen (China).**Job Description/Preferred Qualifications**Kick-start your career as an Algorithm Engineer by working on the “Vision Engine”, the brain of

engineering career.**Your work involves**- Designing and developing soware for advanced inspection solutions, translating

customer requirements into high-quality, maintainable soware used in state-of-the-art

manufacturing environments.

- Collaborating with multiple software teams to validate and integrate new inspection

flows, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and ready for deployment on KLA inspection

machines.

- Working together with senior engineers to evaluate and introduce modern soware

tools and development practices, continuously improving efficiency and the

development environment on Linux and Windows.

- Supporting field engineers and the Applications (APPS) team, contributing to the full

process flow of the vision system and gaining a strong end-to-end understanding of our

products.

- Occasional travel to customers, helping you build real-world insight into customer use

cases and the impact of your work in production environments.**Requirements**- A solid foundation in machine vision and software development, combined with curiosity and

motivation, enables you to grow into solving increasingly complex inspection challenges.

- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Initial

professional experience (or strong hands-on academic projects) is a plus, but above all

we value your passion for technology, drive to learn, and motivation to make a

difference.

- Good understanding of object-oriented programming, with practical experience in

C/C++ gained through coursework, projects, or early career roles. Exposure to Python

and deep-learning concepts is a plus.

- Experience working with Linux environments and open-source tools, at least at project

or academic level, with the ambition to deepen this knowledge in a professional setting.

- Strong interest in new technologies, including emerging hardware trends, modern

software frameworks, and computer-vision libraries, with the curiosity to experiment

and learn.

- Analytical mindset and strong communication skills, enabling effective collaboration

within international, multidisciplinary teams.
