Position: Journeyman Electrician -

DWS ENERGY is a rapidly expanding, multi-disciplinary electrical construction company focused on electrical pre‑fabrication services in our UL‑508A certified panel shop, commercial industrial controls wiring, and utility‑scale solar and battery storage (new construction and operations & maintenance).
Overview: The Journeyman Electrician – Industrial Division is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems in industrial environments. This includes working with control panels, motor controls, conduit systems, and instrumentation wiring. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial electrical work and a commitment to safety and quality.
Responsibilities
Install and maintain industrial electrical systems, including conduit, wiring, motor controls, and instrumentation.
Fabricate and wire UL‑508A certified control panels in accordance with design specifications.
Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting on industrial control systems and equipment.
Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and apprentices to ensure efficient project execution.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and safety compliance.
Ensure all work meets NEC, local codes, and company standards.
Participate in job site safety meetings and adhere to all safety protocols.
Qualifications
Valid Journeyman Electrician License (State‑specific).
4+ years of experience in industrial electrical construction or maintenance.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting industrial electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
Experience with motor control centers (MCCs), VFDs, PLCs, and instrumentation wiring.
Familiarity with UL‑508A panel standards and industrial automation systems is a plus.
OSHA 10/30 certification preferred.
Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
Willingness to travel to industrial job sites as needed.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly.
Capable of standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing ladders or scaffolding for extended periods.
Comfortable working in confined spaces, elevated areas, and varying environmental conditions (heat, cold, dust, noise).
Manual dexterity and hand‑eye coordination for handling tools, wiring, and small components.
Visual and auditory ability to identify electrical hazards and communicate effectively on job sites.
Ability to wear required PPE including hard hats, gloves, safety glasses, and harnesses.
