ProHealth Physicians has an immediate opening for a friendly, patient‑focused and detail‑oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team. The position is full‑time (40 hours/week), Monday – Friday.
May be asked to float to local practices in the region for coverage depending on business need.
Schedule
Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM, 30‑minute lunch.
Location
164 Mt. Pleasant Rd, Newtown, CT 06470.
Primary Responsibilities
Conduct check‑in and check‑out process
Answer incoming calls and use EHR to document details of patient inquiries
Conduct outreach to patients requiring appointments or service follow‑up
Schedule appointments using standard scheduling protocols
Manage administrative in‑basket pools and work queues
Scan documents into the EHR per standard protocols
Balance payments and prepare deposits
Protect patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal and financial information
Provide coverage at other ProHealth locations on an ad hoc basis
Perform other duties as assigned

Compensation
Hourly pay ranges from $16.15 to $28.80 per hour for full‑time employment, based on local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, and other factors. Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
1+ years of receptionist or customer service experience
Intermediate level of computer proficiency in Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a primary care setting
Experience working with EPIC
Bilingual
