
Quality Control Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented QC (Quality Control) Technician to join our team. The QC Technician will be responsible for ensuring compliance with established quality standards and performing various quality control tests and inspections on products and materials. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for maintaining high-quality standards in a production environment.
Essential Job Functions
Monitor product formulations during ingredients, and filling preparation, document lot information (for traceability) of ingredients, raw materials, during processing, and documenting it on the Daily Product Mixing Batch Checking report.
Monitor forming processing, product identity, weights, quality of product during the forming process, weight control, line condition, etc.
Monitor internal temperature of product off the steamer, and document them on the CCP 1B Cooking Log. Make sure corrective actions are taken when deviations occur. Performs sensory evaluation of product off the steamer.
Monitoring and documenting product temperature off the Spiral freezer, Product quality (shape, damaged, broken, deformed), weights, organoleptic properties of finish product, case counts, lot information, labeling, code dates, etc.
Maintains and organize filing system for QA evaluation data.
Environmental and allergen swabbing.
Monitors and reviews recorded line QC and Production paper work for accuracy and completion.
Routine random checks on finish products weight, temperature, and packaging date codes/lots during production at make-up lines and Re-packing.
Inspects Metal detector/X-ray rejected products for foreign objects, and record findings.
Monitors and audits CCP documentation, such as reviewing labeling, production, and performs random verification on Metal detector/X-Ray machine during production.
Audits employee compliance, to GMP’s, SOP’s, and SSOP.
Interacts with Production to trouble-shoot quality issues.
Conducts investigations into non-conforming materials and products.
Performs other duties as required or directed by QA Manager.
Food Safety Responsibilities
All employees are required to immediately report and assist in the elimination or control of any food safety issues they observe to their supervisor
Monitors and enforces cGMPs
Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices and Pre-requisite programs
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 6 months experience in QC or QA
Strong knowledge of quality control best practices, test procedures, and applicable standards and regulations
Proficient in using various quality control tools and equipment
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Physical Requirement
Ability to occasionally lift 35-50Ibs
Ability to stand and sit for prolong periods
Ability to walk through production areas
Exposure to temperature change
Vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception
Schedule
2nd shift (3 p.m. - 11:30 p.m.)
