The Diesel Truck Mechanic Trainee works alongside experienced diesel technicians to learn and assist in the maintenance and repair of semi-trucks, diesel engines, and on‑road fleet vehicles. This is a hands‑on role designed for someone who wants to build a long‑term career working on heavy‑duty diesel trucks.
What You’ll Do
Learn diesel engine systems including fuel, electrical, emissions, and systems
Work side‑by‑side with experienced diesel mechanics on semi‑trucks and fleet vehicles
Build foundational diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
Assist with routine maintenance on diesel trucks (oil changes, filters, batteries, fluids)
Support inspections and preventative maintenance on semi‑trucks and trailers
Assist with moving trucks in and out of the shop safely
Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Support technicians, drivers, and service team as needed
What You’ll Bring
A high school diploma or GED (trade/tech school a plus)
Someone who’s hands‑on, mechanically curious, and eager to learn
