Start Date: October 2025 – Ongoing
Setting: Inpatient | Hospital-Based GI Coverage
Schedule: 24-Hour On Call (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)
Track: Locum to Perm
Population: Adults onlyPosition Overview A well-established health system in Des Moines, Iowa is seeking a Board Certified or Eligible Gastroenterologist for a locum-to-perm inpatient position. This role includes comprehensive GI coverage with ERCP required and EUS highly preferred, all within a 24-hour call model.Role Details Perform 3–4 outpatient procedures/day Manage inpatient consults and GI procedures Provide ERCP services – Required Perform EUS procedures – Highly Preferred EMR: CernerCandidate Requirements
Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible (within 3 years of residency)
Active Iowa License or IMLC – Required
ACLS Certification – Required
COVID Vaccination – Required
Clean malpractice and background – Preferred
Comfortable with inpatient hospital-based work – RequiredCompensation & Benefits
24-Hour On Call Rate: $3,519.00/Call-back $508/hr
