Controller
to join their Senior Leadership Team in
Tolland County, Connecticut .
Our client is a growing manufacturing company with strong growth potential. They're seeking a detail-oriented and process-driven financial leader who will ensure the accuracy of financial statements and compliance while providing essential business partnership to Commercial and Operational leaders.
The Role:
This dual-reporting position (CEO and parent company CFO) is responsible for financial statement accuracy, regulatory compliance, cost control implementation, and strategic financial planning within a manufacturing environment. You'll oversee AR/AP, treasury activities, tax compliance, budgeting, and financial reporting while enhancing the business's financial health and profitability through decision support on product pricing and cost management.
Key Responsibilities:
Own financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
Collaborate with production teams to monitor manufacturing costs, efficiency, and inventory valuation
Analyze financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities and operational improvements
Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections
Monitor KPIs and provide recommendations to improve efficiency and profitability
Partner with operations, engineering, and supply chain teams to track manufacturing costs, labor utilization, and material spending
Evaluate capital expenditure requests, ROI analyses, and project cost tracking
Support pricing analysis, cost modeling, and margin analysis for customer quotations and contracts
Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred)
5-10 years of experience in financial management, preferably in manufacturing or aerospace industrial environments
Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory management, and financial reporting
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; ERP systems experience (Visual preferred)
