
Staff Tax Associate

Liberty Personnel is currently working with boutique public accounting firm focused on providing high-quality tax planning and compliance services to privately held businesses, partnerships, and high-net-worth individuals. We are seeking a motivated Staff Tax Associate to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands‑on experience, work directly with experienced CPAs, and grow within a supportive, team‑oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare individual, partnership, and corporate federal and state income tax returns.
Assist with tax projections, estimated tax calculations, and year‑end planning for clients.
Perform basic tax research and prepare workpapers to support tax positions.
Analyze financial statements and client documents to gather information needed for tax filings.
Support senior staff and partners in client engagements and special projects.
Assist in maintaining client files and ensuring all deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
Communicate with clients to request information and clarify questions.
Stay current on tax law changes and accounting regulations relevant to client work.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or related field); currently pursuing or planning to pursue CPA certification.
0–2 years of experience in public accounting or tax preparation (internship experience accepted).
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
Ability to work independently while being mentored by one of the best.
Working Conditions
This is an in‑office position with some flexibility.
