As a member of the Product & Regulatory Legal Group, you will play a crucial role in providing the legal support needed for Apple to continue building cutting‑edge products and services.

Description
You will join a team of attorneys in the Product & Regulatory Legal Group who support the development of Apple’s health technologies, products, and services, with an emphasis on regulated medical devices. You will collaborate with other legal groups and advise engineering, marketing, operations, clinical, and regulatory business teams on a variety of matters related to health features and products, including product development, regulatory compliance, research collaborations and partnerships, and human subjects research. You will help formulate legal and regulatory strategies and advise on and provide novel solutions to mitigate risks presented by the development of innovative health technologies. You will also advise Apple management on risk allocation and mitigation, business strategies, and policies, particularly as they relate to the unique challenges and opportunities presented by emerging health and medical device technologies.

Minimum Qualifications

8+ years of experience advising on regulatory compliance issues specific to health or medical device features

JD or equivalent and admission to at least one state bar

Preferred Qualifications

Experience interacting with and supporting regulatory submissions to the FDA and international agencies outside the U.S

Track record of achieving great results by cultivating relationships, collaborating with teammates, and effectively communicating with cross‑functional partners

Strong communication and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues in creative ways and articulate nuanced legal risks in plain English

Self‑starter who is curious and thrives in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $230,500 and $346,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You’ll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses—including tuition. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary bonuses or commission payments as well as relocation.
