The Billing Coordinator position will support the complete utility billing cycle, from onboarding to monthly recurring billing for multifamily real estate customers. This role works closely with the Billing Manager and Operations team to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in all billing processes.

Job Overview
As a Billing Coordinator, you will be a key contributor to our billing operations team, ensuring accurate and timely processing of utility billing for our multifamily property clients. You will work within established processes and procedures to maintain billing accuracy, support account onboarding, and help identify opportunities for operational improvements.

Responsibilities

Process resident billing accounts according to established billing cycles and regulatory requirements.

Maintain high attention to detail to minimize billing errors and assist with the onboarding process for new properties and residents.

Help identify and escalate billing discrepancies for resolution.

Support the Billing Manager with process documentation and testing of system enhancements.

Collaborate with Pod Setup, Account Management, and UVM Coordinator teams on billing‑related matters.

Maintain organized records and documentation of billing activities.

Requirements
To excel in this role you should be detail‑oriented, comfortable working with numbers and technology systems, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. You should be organized, able to prioritize tasks, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with established deadlines.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Math, Business, Computer Science, Finance, Accounting or related field.

Strong comfort level with mathematics and numerical accuracy.

Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office Suite.

Ability to learn and work comfortably with billing systems and technology platforms.

Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to follow established processes, procedures, and regulations.

Proactive problem‑solving mindset.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Comfort with repetitive, process‑driven work in a fast‑paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in billing operations.

Experience in property management, utilities, or multifamily housing.

Familiarity with SaaS platforms or billing software.

What Success Looks Like

30 Days:

Complete onboarding and training on Billee’s billing systems and processes; understand billing cycles and basic procedures; begin processing billing under supervision.

60 Days:

Independently process routine billing tasks with high accuracy; demonstrate understanding of common billing scenarios and exceptions; actively contribute to team collaboration.

90 Days:

Consistently meet accuracy and timeline standards; proactively identify process improvement opportunities; serve as a reliable team member who requires minimal supervision for routine tasks.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $55,000 – $75,000 (based on experience and qualifications)

Work Details

Location: Remote with travel as needed for training, company meetings, etc.

Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Central Time (flexibility available as needed, but close alignment with core hours required).
