Startown Veterinary Hospital is an established, family owned practice searching for a full time or part time DVM. We currently have 3.5 doctors and 14 support staff. We strongly believe in self care and promote a work/life balance by having doctors and staff work up to 4 days a week and we are closed on weekends.
We practice Fear Free techniques including low stress handling, touch gradient, high value treats and pre-visit pharmaceuticals when indicated. Our doctors and staff are patient advocates and strongly believe in the importance of client education.
We have a beautiful, 5000 square foot facility with 6 exam rooms, a chapel, large surgery and prep area, a dental suite with radiology, a large doctors office, a pharmacy, separate cat and dog wings, and a large breakroom and patio for the team. We have been voted “Best of Catawba Valley” for the last 8 years.
We see dogs and cats only at this time, but are open to seeing exotics. We offer soft tissue and orthopedic surgical services, in house diagnostics, digital radiographs, ultrasound, and much more! We are completely paperless. We do not do boarding.
Newton is a small town in the foothills of North Carolina with a vibrant downtown that is home to restaurants, boutiques, and a vintage movie theatre. We are close to Lake Hickory and Lake Norman. We are 1 hour to the blue ridge mountains and 45 minutes to Charlotte.
