Position: Cath Lab Technician
Sebenza LLC is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cath Lab Technician to join our team in Hickory, North Carolina. As a Cath Lab Technician, you will play a crucial role in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases by assisting physicians during cardiac catheterization procedures.
Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain the cath lab for procedures, including sterilizing equipment and ensuring all necessary supplies are available
Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization procedures, including setting up and monitoring equipment, and administering medications as directed
Monitor patient vital signs and document any changes or concerns
Operate imaging equipment to obtain images of the heart and blood vessels
Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care and ensure a safe environment for patients and staff
Maintain accurate and complete records of procedures, medications, and patient information
Participate in continuing education and training to stay current with advancements in technology and procedures
Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols
Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies as needed
Qualifications
Completion of an accredited program in cardiovascular technology or related field
Current certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiovascular Technologist (RCVT)
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technician
Knowledge of cardiac catheterization procedures and equipment
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols and procedures
Flexibility to work on-call and weekends as needed
Basic Life Support (BLS) required
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire or transfer into the position required.
Associate's degree from Radiological Technology program required. Education requirements may be waived in exchange with equivalent years of Cath Lab Tech experience.
