Overview
SAP Labs, LLC seeks a Senior Developer at our Palo Alto, CA location responsible for development focusing on design, coding, testing, quality assurance of complex product features in a development team.
Responsibilities
Resolves complex issues within own area of expertise and supports others in resolving issues.
Provides application implementation services typically within the boundaries of specifications and project plans.
Design activities include requirements analysis and design documentation.
Implementation activities include implementation, testing and integration.
Maintenance activities include error analysis and removal.
Usually extends, modifies or adapts existing designs but may also be involved in the development of new (sub)systems.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field of study and six (6) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field of study and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
Qualifications / Skills and Competencies
Experience must include four (4) years involving each of the following:
Programming languages including Java, Shell Script, or Python;
Designing, building, and maintaining high performance, reusable, and reliable code;
Implementing application features and business logic per requirements;
Building application micro services and APIs on J2EE stack and Spring Boot using Java;
Collaborating with PM, UX, UI and QA teams to complete assigned tasks; and
Resolving problems with software and responding to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.

Compensation Range Transparency: The annual base salary range for this position is $145,886-$222,288. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $148,600-$252,600. The actual amount to be offered will be within that range, dependent upon education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc., as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
