Retail Operations + AI - Engagement Manager
Practice Overview: Consumer, Telco & Technology (CTT)
In CTT, we help consumer-facing businesses—including retailers—navigate technology disruption, B2C, B2B, and B2B2C models, and leverage data analytics, AI, and advanced technologies to achieve lasting impact.
Responsibilities
Provide day‑to‑day leadership of client projects and manage client relationships and commercial processes.
Lead and manage complex programs, ensuring on‑time delivery that meets agreed goals.
Guide and influence clients across all engagements, becoming trusted advisors.
Engage in business development by identifying new and expanded opportunities.
Create intellectual capital through thought leadership on relevant topics.
Develop and mentor team members, building a followership that contributes to firm asset building.
Model firm values, uphold a strong personal brand, and maintain high standards recognized by Partners, peers, and clients.
Guide the consulting team in hypothesis development, client interviews, insight extraction, and deliverable production.
Support Partners with project execution through excellent project management, planning, workflow oversight, and coaching of junior staff.
Desired Skills and Experience
4–7 years of strategy consulting experience at a top‑tier firm or comparable organization.
Track record of leading and managing teams with measurable results in fast‑paced environments.
Strong strategic problem‑solving skills with advanced analytical capabilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
Quantitative and technical toolkit, including proficiency in SQL and Python.
Experience with machine learning, data science, AI/genAI preferred.
Undergraduate or advanced degree from a top academic program.
Client‑management experience and ability to deliver value at the executive level.
Passion for creative, expansive thinking with a rigorous analytical approach.
Versatility, flexibility, and willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
Impeccable judgment and decision‑making ability.
Balance of humility and confidence with a commitment to truth and inquiry.
Highly motivated and dedicated to excellence.
Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, including internationally.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary range: $225,000 to $240,000 plus performance‑based incentives. Eligible for a comprehensive benefits package including health and welfare, tuition assistance, 401(k), and employee assistance programs.
