Job Description
Global Workforce Screening team is part of Global Security at JPMorgan Chase and responsible for screening. Workforce Screening conducts background checks on new hires and rescreening of current employees and contingent workers, in partnership with Human Resources and Global Supplier Services. This function helps protect the firm’s assets, reputation, employees, and clients pursuant to firm policy and regulatory standards.
This role supports global screening operations by ensuring compliance with internal policies, operating procedures, and external regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include establishing and maintaining governance frameworks for screening processes, managing audit activities, and overseeing compliance obligations with screening vendors. Role also performs independent quality reviews to ensure processes meet standards. This includes evaluating end‑to‑end processes, analyzing quality results, identifying root causes, and recommending corrective actions and continuous improvement opportunities.
Support implementation and management of internal governance frameworks related to risk and compliance, including firmwide and departmental policies
Contribute to the development and review of organizational policies and procedures to ensure alignment with legal and regulatory standards
Monitor and analyze regulatory change and partner with leadership to drive operational change management
Maintain and support operational frameworks, including metrics, service level agreements, technology configurations, user acceptance testing, third‑party oversight, controls, and quality testing
Maintain packages and business rules with screening vendors, including off‑cycle updates and annual reviews
Maintain and review records of regional screening components by country on a quarterly basis
Understand and support multiple workstreams across screening operations
Conduct analysis of complex cases, determine next steps, and serve as decision maker for hire or engagement eligibility
Participate in execution of quality management for the screening function, adhering to quality control procedures and standards
Mentor production staff on quality control procedures and best practices
Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, root causes of quality issues, and opportunities for improvement
Identify opportunities to enhance risk processes and contribute to projects and solution development
Possess in‑depth understanding of methods, systems, and procedures supporting cross‑functional initiatives
Responsible for the design and implementation of zero‑touch data pipelines, including external data feeds
Interact and liaise with internal partners across global locations
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
Work experience in banking or financial services industry
Experience with risk management, compliance, internal audit or controls
Understanding of regulatory environment within banking and knowledge of relevant laws & regulations
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to assess risk and develop governance strategies
Leadership and decision‑making abilities to guide governance practices; ensuring compliance
Develop relationships with Legal and Compliance partners; third party vendors
Strong knowledge of quality control standards
Ability to implement quality control to ensure processes meet established standards & specification
Ensure compliance with standards, regulation, policies and procedure. Stay up‑to‑date with all related changes.
Understand systems and various Screening workflows
Proficiency in Microsoft office, intermediate Excel skills
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
Maintain a high degree of confidentiality when handling sensitive information and data.
Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders.
Demonstrates attention to detail and organizational skills in managing large data sets and competing priorities.
Applies leadership, analytical, and problem‑solving skills to drive effective decisions and outcomes.
