Role Summary
As an M&A Investment Banking Experienced Analyst, you will work in a small and collaborative team to support and execute M&A and corporate finance engagements. You’ll focus on analyzing financial data, identifying key trends, preparing financial models and cash flow scenarios, conducting research, creating marketing presentations, and information memoranda. You will also help develop team members and ensure their career development.
Projects span industries including Aerospace & Defense, Energy, Construction, and Chemicals.
Your key responsibilities
• Analyze financial data and identify key performance trends.
• Build and maintain detailed financial models and cash flow scenarios.
• Conduct market and company research.
• Develop pitch books, information memoranda, and marketing presentations.
• Support execution of M&A and corporate finance transactions.
• Mentor junior team members.
Skills and attributes for success
Advise companies on strategic and corporate finance alternatives and drive execution of M&A transactions.
Prepare pitch books, descriptive information memoranda and related materials.
Perform extensive financial analysis, valuation and pro‑forma financial modeling.
Identify key issues and potential risks in valuations and transactions.
Perform in-depth market, sector and company‑specific research.
Qualifications
A bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of related work experience, or a graduate degree and 1–2 years of related work experience.
Investment banking experience.
Existing Series 7 and/or 79 plus Series 63 securities licenses (in good standing).
Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
Proven record of excellence in investment banking focused on mergers, acquisitions and capital markets.
Strong working knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables and advanced modeling.
Efficient use of research databases and data manipulation.
Excellent interpersonal and relationship‑building skills.
Must reside in or be within commuting distance to the office location.
Ability and willingness to travel and work beyond standard hours when necessary.
Ideally you will have
Experience within a large financial services organization.
Established networking skills in the relevant industry.
Knowledge of leveraging firm‑approved AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot).
