Field Service Engineer (m/f/d) – Subsea & Hydrographic Systems (Junior or Experienced)

| Frequent travel: Germany, Austria, Switzerland (DACH) + occasionally Europe
Are you hands‑on, curious about marine technology, and motivated to work close to customers and vessels? We’re looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our Service Delivery team in Hamburg. You’ll install, commission, maintain and support advanced subsea & hydrographic solutions for customers across the region—primarily in German‑speaking countries.
Install, test and commission subsea & hydrographic systems (on customer vessels and in shipyards)
Provide technical service, maintenance and troubleshooting (on‑site and occasionally in‑house)
Support delivery projects and collaborate with sales/after‑sales teams
Deliver customer training and onboard operational assistance
Create service documentation and reporting
What we’re looking for (Junior or Experienced)
You can be:
Junior : technical degree + strong learning mindset (structured onboarding & mentoring provided)
Experienced : proven field service background + ability to work independently
Must‑have (one of the following)
Knowledge/experience with hydrographic equipment/systems , and/or
Strong IT knowledge
including:
Hardware / systems (PCs, industrial systems, interfaces, peripherals)
Networking (IP basics, routing/switching fundamentals, LAN troubleshooting, data communication)
Technical education or experience in Electronics / Instrumentation / Electro / Hydrography / Subsea systems
Interest in learning hydrographic software and product ecosystems
Clear, structured communication; methodical and ownership‑driven approach
Language & travel
English: minimum B2 (written and spoken)
Significant travel, mainly Germany / Austria / Switzerland
Occasional service assignments in other European countries
German is a strong advantage (most services are delivered in German‑speaking countries)
