Role Description
We are seeking a full-time or part time Optometrist to join our team at Malik Eye Care in Queens and Long Island, NY. This on-site role entails providing comprehensive eye exams, diagnosing and treating vision conditions, prescribing corrective lenses, and managing eye diseases and injuries. The Optometrist will educate patients on proper eye care practices and collaborate with other healthcare professionals when necessary to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.
Qualifications
Proficiency in conducting comprehensive eye examinations and addressing patient needs effectively.
Knowledge in diagnosing and treating various eye conditions, including ocular diseases and visual impairments.
Ability to prescribe corrective lenses, recommend treatments, and provide personalized vision care solutions.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for patient education and collaboration with team members.
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining up-to-date knowledge in optometry and eye care practices.
Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry program and an active state license to practice optometry in New York.
Experience in a clinical or healthcare setting is highly desirable.
