Education Level2 Year Degree## Description**JOB FUNCTIONS*** Proactively originates mortgage loans through branch referrals, external partners, and self-generated leads with a focus on quality and compliance.* Perform preliminary analysis of mortgage applications and documents to make certain that member(s) qualify for the loan based upon the information provided at the time of application.* Prepare and send initial disclosures to member(s) so that government regulations are met and informed.* Be knowledgeable of underwriting criteria and pricing.
This would also include being knowledgeable of Freddie Mac underwriting guidelines.* Network with internal business partners, branches, and external business partners to grow existing database further.* Working positively with other co-workers and following DNA culture code to continue to build out company’s culture.* Ability to work and travel to different branch locations or other offsite locations to meet with members as determined by management.* Maintain required NMLS registration.## Qualifications**KNOWLEDGE*** Incumbent should possess three years of increasingly responsible experience in mortgage lending and be familiar with the loan origination functions.
Be familiar with credit union services and possess the ability to cross-sell them to members.
Able to retain and expand internal & external business partners.**SKILLS*** The individual should have excellent oral, written and listening skills; be able to handle pressure; effectively communicate with all levels of personnel; can work on several projects simultaneously and satisfy the required objectives; and most importantly, provide courteous service to the membership and work positively with other team members.**EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE*** To maintain compliance with the federal Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act (SAFE Act), MLOs at Mortgage Solutions, LLC must maintain professional state-licensing requirements.* A college degree in a business-related field or its equivalent of five years’ financial institution experience, specifically in mortgage lending, is preferred.
Experience with ICE Mortgage Technology and Encompass software is highly desirable. Attendance of credit union industry seminars, workshops, and conventions is also required.**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**The position requires the following physical activities within varying environmental conditions:* Occasionally remaining in a stationary position which may be standing or sitting for a prolonged period.* Travel or move from one office location to another or from one department to another at the headquarters building.* Occasional lifting, moving, or adjusting objects up to 20 pounds.* Constant communication with others through various channels including verbal, email, and chat of which the last two may require consistent use of a keyboard and mouse or another electronic device.* Work will be in a commercially reasonable temperature-controlled environment.* Occasional temporary exterior site review which could be in outdoor elements of wind, rain, or snow.## Come Work with Us!
