Description
CPH seeks a talented intern with a focus in electrical or mechanical engineering to join our team in Sanford, FL. The Electrical Intern will assist with supporting various tasks and projects to gain practical experience in Mechanical / Electrical engineering. This position provides practical, hands‑on experience and is ideal for students or recent graduates who are eager to apply their academic knowledge to develop professional skills and experience.
Duties Include
Assist with day-to-day operations and tasks within the department.
Provide support for ongoing projects by completing assigned tasks and contributing to project goals.
Participate in the design, analysis, and testing of electrical and mechanical components.
Help in data collection, analysis, and preparation of reports or presentations.
Work closely with the MEP team, including meetings and collaborating on project tasks.
Communicate effectively with team members to ensure successful project outcomes.
Seek guidance and feedback from mentor.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Comfortable working and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Basic understanding of electrical/ mechanical engineering principles.
Ability to interpret technical drawings.Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar) is a plus.
Course work in power / energy (Electrical Engineering) or thermodynamics / fluid mechanics (Mechanical Engineering) is a plus.
Excellent oral, written and organizational skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Detail oriented, quality conscious, reliable and self‑motivated.
Education & Experience
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited Engineering Program.
Basic knowledge in industry standards and best practices.
Prior internship or hands‑on experience in an engineering setting is a plus.
Work Environment

This position is in a professional office environment.
The person in this role will routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, copiers, and filing cabinets.
