Job Overview
To assist the Manufacturing Supervisor in planning, organizing, supervising, and controlling the activities of the manufacturing department.
Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties
Assist Manufacturing Supervisor with resource planning, work order scheduling and coordinating duties of subordinate personnel in support of achieving manufacturing schedules including product sterilization shipment schedule.
Ensure manufacturing personnel meet manufacturing requirements including labor & quality standards, adhering to break & lunch schedule.
Coordinate activities to resolve manufacturing issues: material shortage, quality concerns, equipment issues.
Responsible for maintaining component inventory to ensure parts are available and/or scheduled to meet production schedule.
Responsible for Oracle transactions; opening jobs, completing jobs, move transactions, complete transactions, scrap transactions, material issuance.
Coordinate and/or provide training for manufacturing personnel.
Ensures all required documentation is in place and properly completed for all manufacturing requirements. DHR, DHT, Flow Sheet, inspection data.
Responsible for updating all incoming manufacturing procedures including review of Engineer Change Orders and destroying obsolete documentation within manufacturing department.
Interacts with other departments within the company to meet departmental goals.
Maintain a clean, safe work environment; being proactive with safety issues.
Performs other duties as required.
Minimum High School diploma or equivelant required
2+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment required
Leadership experience strongly preferred
Medical device manufacturing experience preferred
Strong communication skills, ability to speak, read and write English.
Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications are required (Word/Excel).
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
General knowledge of cGMPs and standard manufacturing methodologies.
Proficient interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with coworkers.
Detailed oriented and can work independent of direct supervision.
Punctual, good attendance and work overtime as needed.
Supervision/Management of Others
Responsible for 4 indirect reports.
Environmental/Safety/Physical Work Conditions
Ensures environmental consciousness and safe practices are exhibited in decisions.
Duties are performed in a manufacturing/clean room environment.
Personal protective equipment may be required as dictated by work environment.
Use/work in the immediate vicinity of 70/30 isopropyl alcohol (IPA) solution used for the preparation of work areas (line clearance) and used during the manufacturing process.
