Position Title: Associate Manufacturing Engineer (Internal Candidates Only)
Manufacturing Engineer Associate
plays a key hands‑on role in supporting shop floor operations, manufacturing process development, and continuous improvement initiatives. This position partners closely with Manufacturing and Design Engineering teams to troubleshoot production issues, document processes, and support new product introductions. Ideal candidates are technically curious, process‑driven, and comfortable working directly in a manufacturing environment.
What Youll Do
Manufacturing & Shop Floor Support
Provide day‑to‑day technical support and process troubleshooting on the manufacturing floor
Support production teams during new product introductions and engineering changes
Process Development & Documentation
Assist in developing, improving, and maintaining manufacturing processes and production line layouts
Perform time studies and help establish manufacturing standards
Generate and maintain work instructions and process control documentation
Engineering & Continuous Improvement
Participate in design reviews and collaborate with Design Engineers to support DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFA (Design for Assembly)
Assist in identifying, justifying, and implementing cost reduction and efficiency improvement projects
Support LEAN manufacturing and 5S initiatives on the shop floor
Tooling, Equipment & Technology
Coordinate design and implementation of weld fixtures, assembly tooling, test equipment, and production line layouts
Investigate and help implement new technologies, processes, and equipment to improve productivity and quality
Additional Responsibilities
Review Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and support implementation
Perform other duties as assigned
What You Bring
Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
46 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered
Technical Skills
Ability to use CAD software to create 3D component and assembly models
Ability to read and generate engineering drawings per
ANSI Y14.5
Working knowledge of LEAN manufacturing principles
Familiarity with:
CNC machining
Sheet metal fabrication
Welding processes
Mechanical assembly
Computer & Software Skills
Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
SolidWorks
SharePoint
SAP (preferred)
