Amazon Web Services (AWS) Global Sales drives adoption of the AWS cloud worldwide. This role works directly with Private Equity firms, their portfolio companies, and consulting partners to drive technology adoption that enables their operational business outcomes.
Objectives
• Drive market awareness of AWS cloud value proposition within PE firms and portfolio customers.
• Build and maintain technical relationships with senior technical leaders, including CTOs, CIOs, enterprise and infrastructure architects.
• Support the AWS Business Development and Professional Services teams by providing technical architecture guidance and developing migration and cloud‑native application strategies.
Responsibilities
Serve as a key technical member of the Business Development team to ensure customer success building applications and services on AWS.
Establish technical credibility in sales cycles and lead technical discussions with PE customers and partners.
Scope each customer engagement with clear objectives and success criteria.
Provide architectural guidance to PE firms and portfolio companies and help develop cost‑optimization strategies.
Build rapport with executives by leveraging knowledge of enterprise architecture, M&A, migration, and cost optimization.
Support portfolio CEOs/CTOs through AWS platform briefings, roadmap workshops, and solution architect office hours.
Deliver specialized workshops and training sessions for the wider AWS customer base.
Qualifications
8+ years of experience in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics.
3+ years of design, implementation or consulting experience in applications and infrastructure.
10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting experience in the software or Internet industries.
5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking experience.
Experience working with end‑user or developer communities.
Strong communication skills and ability to articulate cloud benefits to varied technical audiences.
Strategic thinking and deep familiarity with complex legacy IT environments.
Compensation
Base salary range varies by location:
New York: $169,000 – $228,600
Dallas: $153,600 – $207,800
Arlington: $153,600 – $207,800
Seattle: $153,600 – $207,800
