Position Summary
The Growth and Nutrition Program (GNP) at Boston Children’s Hospital is one of seven multidisciplinary programs partially funded by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health to support infants and young children experiencing malnutrition and/or feeding difficulties.
We are seeking a temporary Nurse Practitioner to provide specialized, family‑centered care to pediatric patients (newborn through age 7) with feeding challenges and poor weight gain. This role works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to assess, manage, and improve nutritional outcomes across clinical and community settings.
Key Responsibilities
Provide family education and clinical care to pediatric patients (newborn – age 7) with feeding difficulties and poor weight gain during clinic sessions at Boston Children’s Hospital
Triage patient concerns and provide follow‑up support to families
Coordinate and conduct home, school, and daycare visits for meal observations (may be conducted remotely as appropriate)
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary GNP team, Massachusetts Department of Public Health, and community‑based resources to support patient care and outreach
Support care coordination and continuity across clinical and community environments
Schedule:
6 month temporary coverage starting in July, 40 hours Mon‑Fri 8AM‑5PM

Boston and Needham
Minimum Qualifications
Education
Masters of Science degree in Nursing required
Experience
Minimum of 3 years of pediatric nursing experience
Experience with children with feeding disorders strongly preferred
Experience working in community‑based or public health settings preferred
Licensure and Certification
National certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
Current BLS/CPR certification required
