Overview
Physical Therapist Assistant: Full-time - Hospital Inpatient
We are looking for a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our inpatient hospital team in Valencia, CA. We are a 357‑bed, not‑for‑profit community hospital and trauma center known for our highly respected cancer program, advanced primary stroke center, spine and joint program, an acute rehab unit, and a wide range of inpatient and outpatient surgical services. You will provide direct patient care and support rehabilitation activities.

You’ll Achieve Success By
Reviewing patients medical history
Providing excellent 1:1 care for your patients, spending an average of 40 minutes with each person
Diagnosing patients by observing their movements and listening to their concerns
Developing individualized treatment plans for patients with clear goals and expected outcomes
Using exercises, stretching, equipment, and hands‑on manual therapy to manage patients’ pain, increase mobility, and prevent further pain and injury
Recording patient progress and modifying the plan of care as needed
Responsibilities
Assist in evaluation of client’s daily living skills and capacities to determine extent of abilities and limitations
Assist patients with all phases of physical therapy treatment and techniques including exercise instruction, manual therapy techniques, activities of daily living, and Isokinetic program
Observe patients during treatments and report observations to Physical Therapist
Communicate with staff and other health team members to exchange, discuss, and evaluate patient information for planning, modifying, and coordinating treatment programs
Qualifications
Associate’s Degree or equivalent from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program required
Unrestricted Physical Therapist Assistant licensure to practice required
