Palmer Ridge High School is looking for a Multilingual Learner Teacher beginning with the 2026-2027 school year. Seeking a teacher who enjoys a dynamic, multicultural, and multilinguistic environment with a commitment to help diverse students build on and extend their strengths and academic achievements.

Under general supervision, the Multilingual Learner (ML) teacher will design and teach English language development lessons for Multilingual Learner students (MLs) at Palmer Ridge High School in accordance with Colorado English Language Proficiency standards. The teacher will support regular classroom teachers, serve on collaborative teams, provide or recommend appropriate classroom and testing accommodations for MLs, act as a liaison for ML families, act as an advocate for ML students at the school site, monitor the progress of ML students, administer WIDA placement and proficiency tests, and perform other related duties. The ML teacher must be familiar with federal and state laws concerning ML identification, placement, and programming and with research‑based instruction. This position may be realigned to other district locations if the ML population changes and/or according to district needs.

Exact placement on the pay schedule is determined by the Director of Human Resources upon contracting. As a guideline, we offer up to 18 years of previous contractual teaching experience for a placement of Step 19, per school board policy. This pay range is based on education and experience levels with a range of $44,550 - $75,279 annually. The current teacher pay schedule can be found on our website.
