JR168379Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – PRN**Location:** Canyon Springs Post Acute**Pay Rate:** Starting at **$55/hour**Canyon Springs Post Acute is seeking a dedicated and professional **Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)** to join our team on a **PRN basis**. If you are passionate about providing high-quality rehabilitative care and thrive in a collaborative, resident-centered environment, we want to hear from you.**General Purpose**The Staff Physical Therapist Assistant works under the direction of the Staff Physical Therapist to provide resident-related activities and direct resident care, ensuring optimal functional outcomes for our residents.**Essential Duties & Responsibilities*** **Direct Care:** Treat residents as directed by the Physical Therapist and educate residents, families, and caregivers on treatment goals, home exercise programs, and fall prevention strategies.* **Documentation:** Complete timely, accurate, and compliant documentation in accordance with facility, governmental, and third-party payer requirements.* **Collaboration:** Communicate routinely with the supervising PT to update physicians, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary team on resident progress and discharge planning.* **Safety & Compliance:** Maintain a safe environment by following infection control and safety protocols. (California PTAs must remain in accordance with *California Laws and Regulations related to Physical Rehabilitation Manual Article 4 § 1398.44*).* **Equipment Coordination:** Recommend and facilitate the ordering of durable medical equipment (e.g., walkers, canes, splints) to promote resident independence.* **Training:** Assist the nursing department with training Restorative Aides and provide in-service training programs for facility staff as needed.* **Quality Improvement:** Contribute to quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.**Qualifications*** **Education:** Associate Degree from an accredited PTA program.* **Licensure:** Must hold a valid Physical Therapist Assistant license in good standing with the State Board.* **Certifications:** CPR certification (as required by licensure).PACS is revolutionizing the delivery and leadership of post-acute healthcare and support services across the country.
