Job Description
Indiana University Health is looking for passionate, experienced nurses to join our team and collaborate with top medical professionals.

Overview
Shifts: Full-time & Part-time Nights.

Part and Full-time roles are eligible for a $30,000 sign-on bonus.

This position is referral eligible.

Structured support for new nurses to transition through their first 2 years from novice to expert; integrating into our open‑heart recovery program.

Supporting our local community to provide quick STEMI recovery and comprehensive post‑arrest care along with a multitude of cardiac procedures.

Constant professional development with the highest number of certified nurses among our inpatient units with three different certificate subspecialties.

Team collaboration to deliver high‑quality care to the sickest patients at the hospital.

Unit Culture

A collective of highly motivated nurses dedicated to learning and evolving critical care nursing.

Structures and support in place from orientation through certification in the first 1–2 years as a CIC Nurse.

A unit that highlights peer and managerial support to help lift each other and deal with the unique stress of working in a critical care environment.

Democratic staff input through our Unit Based Council that impacts and shapes work on CIC.

Qualifications

Requires an Associate of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Education: The Registered Nurse (RN) must have graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.

Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience; such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).

Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.

Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.

Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient‑care policies.
