Seasonal Social Content Producer - Portland Cascade

In June 2025, AU transformed and expanded its softball business by launching the Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL), a premier professional women’s softball league. In 2026, additional teams have been added, converting to a fully city-based model, bringing in team owners, and building out ancillary business, fan and partner engagement opportunities.

Athletes Unlimited Softball League is looking for a Social & Content Producer to fulfill real-time, on-the-ground content capture, creation, and publishing for an assigned team across games, practices, and local events. This is a contract position and will report into an internal member of the Social & Content team.

Responsibilities

Capture and produce real-time, on-the-ground social content for an assigned AUSL team, with a focus on game days, practices, and local market events

Attend all assigned team activities, including home games, select practices, community appearances, and league events

Create platform-native content (Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube Shorts) that is timely, engaging, and aligned with AUSL brand and team voice

Shoot, edit, and publish short-form video content in real time using mobile-first tools

Collaborate with league and team social leads to execute content strategies, campaigns, and key moments throughout the season

Support live social coverage during games, including highlights, behind-the-scenes access, and fan-focused storytelling

Maintain a consistent content pipeline that balances planned content with reactive, in-the-moment storytelling

Qualifications & Availability

1-3 years of experience in a social, content, video, and/or photo role within the sports industry

Strong understanding of social media platforms and what performs well on each (TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, X)

Experience managing or contributing to brand or team social media accounts

Proficiency in mobile editing tools (e.g., CapCut) and quick-turn content creation

Experience capturing video and photo content in live event environments

Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom, etc.)

Working knowledge of softball and a genuine passion for women’s sports

Availability to work a majority of the gamedays of the assigned AUSL team, including on-site availability for home games and remote availability to cover away games.

This role will have limited travel requirements

Availability for the season dates of May 20 - July 31, approximate weekly hours to be discussed and agreed upon prior to starting.

Candidates must be local to or within commuting distance of one of our AUSL team markets to be considered for this position

Ability to work weekends, holidays, and non-traditional hours when in season

Candidates need to be based near Hillsboro, Oregon

Legal authorization to work in the United States

The rate for this position is $25-$35/hour, dependent on skillset and experience

1099 Contractors are responsible for their own taxes and insurance coverage.
