Position Summary
The Food & Beverage Manager in Training Program (MIT Program) is designed for long‑term front‑of‑house Food & Beverage Management personnel. Potential candidates are former front‑of‑house staff or recent hospitality school graduates with prior experience. The program places candidates at a supervisory level in one of our outlets or departments and rotates them to develop expertise in line‑level functions, allowing them to coach and train staff. After completion, participants may apply for an open Front of House Assistant Manager position with confidence.

Program Objectives

Develop and demonstrate the skills and services required to be a functional, effective and dependable member of a Food & Beverage team at a Five Star level.

Enhance and apply theoretical hospitality knowledge through scheduled classes and training initiatives.

Maintain a Mentor‑Trainee relationship to learn the company culture, expectations and norms.

Responsibilities
Rotate through various outlets/departments to achieve line‑level expertise. Coach and train staff in those departments. Apply and share lessons learned to support the Food & Beverage team and prepare for an Assistant Manager role.

Qualifications

Minimum age 21.

High school diploma or equivalent. College degree in Hospitality, Travel and Tourism, or related field highly preferred.

Two or more years of front‑of‑house Food & Beverage experience, ideally at a luxury or four‑star/hotel property.

Extensive Food & Beverage service knowledge; wine, culinary certifications, TIPS and ServSafe preferred.

Excellent verbal and written English skills.

Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn related software and equipment.

Essential Physical Requirements

Work on site daily.

Perform manual labor for expected durations and intensities of Food & Beverage staff.

Lift and carry up to 30 pounds across short‑medium distances.

Stand throughout the shift, reach, bend and stoop as needed.

Have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.

Pass a background check.
