Facilities Maintenance – Virginia Beach, VA
The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) is seeking an HVAC Technician to provide basic maintenance and service repairs on HVAC equipment according to operational and maintenance procedures. Serving in this position facilitates ministry activities and contributes to CBN's Biblical mission to advance the Gospel of Jesus Christ worldwide. Hourly pay ranges from $20.00 to $30.00, based on qualifications and relevant experience.
Our positive and dedicated Facilities Maintenance team is led by management who came from the field – they’re technicians, too! The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
Working knowledge of HVAC equipment and maintenance/repair procedures
Working knowledge of air conditioning and heating technology
Strong oral and written communication skills
Self-motivated with ability to work independently and as an effective member of a team
Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to interact with customers, team members, and management in a professional manner
Flexible with ability to work well under pressure and consistently complete assignments in a timely manner
Good manual dexterity skills
Ability to lift 65 pounds, climb ladders and stand for long periods of time
Ability to work additional hours when emergencies arise
Valid driver’s license with good driving record required
CFC certification is preferred
Demonstrated life application of Biblical principles and practices in alignment with CBN’s nonprofit Christian mission
