Housekeeping Support Summer Intern 2026 - Casual Temp., $22.50/Hour
Looking for a chance to expand your resume and build connections, the Housekeeping Support Summer Internship offers hands‑on experience and the opportunity to help create Disney magic. This full‑time, two‑month internship runs from May 2026 through September 2026 and requires full weekly availability, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
Assist the Housekeeper with daily housekeeping tasks.
Transport dirty linens and towels from guest rooms to the linen room and loading dock.
Transport trash from guest rooms and hallways to the loading dock.
Deliver items requested by guests.
Issue machines, cribs, and air mattresses as needed in guest rooms.
Restock linen rooms and sweep/clean the linen floor and rooms daily.
Remove trash and recycle materials to appropriate areas throughout the day.
Follow work assignments and prioritize tasks in a timely manner.
Willing to undergo additional specialized training in procedure and ergonomic principles.
Willing to get dirty and clean up others’ messes.
Enthusiastic about interacting with and helping guests.
Qualifications
Currently enrolled or graduated within six months of application submission, in an accredited college/university.
Ability to provide own housing and reliable transportation to/from work.
Flexible and adaptable; may work in varied areas, conditions, with changing start/end times.
Committed to working various shift times, including AM/PM.
Proactive, immediately communicates concerns and reacts to situations.
Must use personal protective equipment (e.g., boots, gloves, goggles), hand tools (e.g., mops, brooms), power equipment/tools, disinfectants, degreasing chemicals, and all cleaning products.
Previous experience in a cleaning environment (housekeeping, kitchen/restaurant, or other busy cleaning environments).
Previous experience in a self‑directed role requiring little follow‑up or supervision.
Proficient in the use of mobile devices (iPhone, iPad, etc.).
Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
Availability: 3 weeks of full availability (day, evening, overnight) immediately following the start date for training; additional planned time off may not be available until the New Year.
Knowledge of Hawaiian/Japanese language preferred.
