About the Role
Bedi Dental Group is seeking a highly-skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our established practice. Our ideal candidates accept a high level of responsibility and provide support for our Dentists so they can more efficiently care for patients, such as completing intake paperwork, updating patient records, sterilizing and organizing dental tools and assisting as needed during dental procedures. We welcome Dental Assistants who are excellent communicators and can build strong relationships with patients and co-workers.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the dentist in the clinical treatment of patients.
Ensure a high level of patient attentiveness, understanding and care.
Maintain treatment room cleanliness and sterilization per OSHA regulations.
Securely store and handle patient records in compliance with state and federal requirements, including HIPAA privacy and security regulations.
Send out and monitor all dental laboratory cases promptly.
Track cases and referrals to and from other doctors.
Ensure that treatment rooms are stocked at all times.
Help in other areas of the office when necessary (e.g., answering phones, unpacking supplies, completing insurance forms, moving former patient records, etc.).
Perform expanded functions and other tasks as assigned by the dentist.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited dental assisting program.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting.
State certification to practice Dental Assistance and meeting all applicable state requirements.
Compliance with state dental practice requirements (e.g., x-ray requirements, OSHA training).
Strong computer skills (list of specific dental software previously worked with).
Eaglesoft and/or Dentrix knowledge is a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with patients and staff.
